University of York and Zhejiang University, established the jointly run Lab for Cognitive Radio and Green Communications on 12 April 2010. The agreement, signed by York’s Vice Chancellor Prof Brian Cantor and Zhejiang’s President Prof Wei Yang, comes after concluding discussions during the recent visit to Zhejiang University by members of the University of York.
The purpose of the Lab is to capitalise on the high levels of complementary research activities underway at both institutions. Underpinning these will be academic exchanges, including postgraduate student exchanges, and the development of strategic long-term cooperation in advanced research and student training in the targeted fields of Cognitive Radio and Green Communications.
The Lab itself is physically located on two sites, at University of York, in the Department of Electronics and at Zhejiang University in the Department of Information Science and Electronic Engineering.
